This matrix has been designed to provide guidance on the assignment of responsibilities across campus functions, as they relate to the lifecycle of an award. It does not include an exhaustive list of all campus business practices and it does not replace applicable departmental policies and procedures. The normal business practices of the individual campus functions should be followed. However, it can be used as a guide for identifying Owners (O) and Contributors (C) of award management responsibilities. This template may be used when there is need for a more complex budget preparation/estimation that will calculate F&A across fiscal years and/or if cost sharing is a component of the project.
